eLearning is a group within the Applications Support division of Information Technology Services. Our team co-ordinates a series of University-wide learning technology services.
Our two most well-known services are Blackboard (Otago’s learning management system), and Otago Capture (lecture recording), but we also co-ordinate Otago Podcasting, Otago Blogs and Otago Wikis, and offer an iPad loan scheme, whereby class sets of iPads can be accessed to aid teaching and research.
Our department investigates and implements new technologies and services. We frequently provide consultancy services for academic staff looking to better harness technology in their classrooms and research spaces.
