Bioactive proteins

Supervisor: Dr. Fellner (Biochemistry) & Dr. Nathan Kenny (Biochemistry)

Summary: The University of Otago’s Fellner and Kenny groups work on comparative genomics (Kenny) and the characterisation of proteins (Fellner). We have a special interest in collaborating on the identification and characterisation of bioactives from invertebrate marine species. Various projects are available to work on bioactive proteins from different marine species like sea star or sea urchin (Kina in the picture above).
