Final steps

Check these first

Before combining your documents to create the final thesis document, please check that you have done all of these:

• Create separate documents for each chapter, including the preliminary information
• Add a gutter in each document
• Set ordinary page numbers in each document
• Apply the same style set in each document, including the preliminary section (where you removed numbers from the headings if you used them)
• If you used EndNote, Convert to Unformatted Citations before combining documents

Combine documents and set final formatting

The steps to create your final thesis should be done with the table of contents, etc. created at the very end.

1. Combine documents
2. Fix page numbering
3. Fix caption numbering
4. Format EndNote citations and bibliography
5. Create Table of contents, Table of figures, and Table of tables
