New Zealand had several Veteran groups exposed to ionising radiation, listed on the Veteran’s affairs web page.
There are two major groups of Nuclear Veterans, Operation Grapple Veterans and Mururoa Veterans
Op Grapple took place between 1957 and 1958, and was part of the British nuclear testing programme.
Two New Zealand Frigates, HMNZS Pukaki and HMNZS Rotoiti took part as weather ships.
