First In-person Team Workshop at the University of Otago (Feb 17-20, 2026)
We held our inaugural in-person team workshop, joined by Prof. Ivan Diaz-Rainey from Brisbane. The event focused on aligning our research strategies and establishing a solid operational foundation for the project.
Key highlights from the workshop included:
1. Operational Setup: Finalizing protocols for secure data sharing and GitHub repository management.
2. Climate Stress Testing: Evaluating progress and methodologies across different scopes, including fluvial/pluvial flooding models and UK-specific dataset.
3. Risk & Economic Modeling: Deep-dive sessions exploring hazard and infrastructure vulnerabilities, the Coastal Asset Risk Index (CARI), and macroeconomic modeling results.
4. Theoretical Frameworks: Developing conceptual foundations for our upcoming collaborative publications.
