Science Writing Prize 2025

The Science Writing Prize 2025 prizegiving was held on 1st October 2025. The event was kindly sponsored by the School of Biomedical Sciences and Kainic Medical. Many thanks to all who attended and submitted their writing.  

The winner and runner up were: 

Winner: Nidhi Bhagi – “When Our Cells Turn Selfish- Hidden Weakness in Aggressive Breast Cancer” 

Runner up: Marcus Ward – “Smart technology shaping a healthier future for young people with type 1 diabetes 

 

Well done to all entrants, the quality of writing was very high across the board. It was also great to see entries from across our university departments, at all levels of study and in a broad range of topics.
