The OMSRS Presentation Judging Criteria
Each section is marked out of 10
- Introduction: Clear and precise. Places study in context of published literature or previous knowledge.
- Methods: Concise but accurate summary
- Results: Clear presentation, suitable analysis
- Conclusion: Clear, justifiable, understandable to a non-specialist
- Research skills demonstrated: Technical or intellectual
- Communication: Presents scientific ideas clearly (can be understood by non-specialists); speaks confidently and fluently; engages audience through eye contact, tone variation; visual aids are clear and enhance understanding
- Answering of questions: Responds to questions thoughtfully and effectively
