Welcome Lisa
Hello, I’m Lisa. After years of study at the University of Otago, I’ve finally reached the stage of beginning my PhD! Over the past two years, I’ve been part of the group using various spectroscopy techniques to analyse samples, including microplastics and forensic hair. I am very happy to be back in the group and build on these skills in my PhD research.

I am also very excited to work again with my honours co-supervisor, Dr Charlotte King. Our project focuses on using spectroscopy to identify species through blood. This work will contribute to wildlife conservation in New Zealand, supporting wildlife preservation efforts and aiding wildlife crime investigations.
I can’t wait to begin in March, and for those who are reading, please look forward to my projects!
