New publication out in RSC Dalton Transactions
Congratulations to Josh and Keith who recently published a paper with Paul Wagenknecht and his team on solvatochromism in Fe(II) Ti(IV) organometallic species with electron donor groups (Link here). These materials are useful in non-linear optics and solar energy harvesting because of their optical properties. Using resonance Raman spectroscopy in concert with DFT calculations it was possible to show that the donor species were electron delocalised – this unusual phenomenon contributed to the solvatochromic nature.
