Congrats to Khansa

Khansa recently presented her recent work on porphyrins at the 26th International Symposium on the Photochemistry and Photophysics of Coordination Complexes (ISPPCC) in Milazzo, Italy.  Khansa’s work has shown that the four orbital model of porphyrins can be adjusted by substituents at the β-pyrollic position.  This leads to new transitions in the electronic spectrum which broadens the dye absorption.  This can be probed using resonance Raman spectroscopy.
