Dear colleagues
Here is the link to the latest version of the ANZIC Bulletin with some emphasis on the the Australasian Workshop (nice article written by Catherine), which was a huge success. The organisers of the workshop, before and during it, were towers of strength. I expect the results to be more expeditions in our region in the years to come.
There is also a final call (deadline Monday 3rd July) for applicants for the hugely exciting Expedition 377 (Arctic Ocean Paleoceanography) . Do apply, or encourage others to apply. This expedition will drill Cenozoic sequences in the ocean that record spectacular changes in climate and the marine-non marine state, which were partly demonstrated by IODP Expedition 302, drilled in 2004 when sea ice cover was far greater. This is the chance of a lifetime to join a great historic expedition, and one would expect our Antarctic community to be very excited by it. The drilling will be in mid-2018, and the larger description and sampling science party in early 2019 in Bremen.
