Projects on offer – Honors, Masters, or PhD (1 – 3 years)

Phage Formulations for Agricultural and Environmental Resilience

This project will investigate the formulation and delivery of bacteriophages for controlling bacterial diseases in agriculture. Research could focus on developing stable phage-based products, overcoming environmental and physiological barriers, and integrating phage therapy into sustainable farming practices. This work has the potential to reduce antibiotic use in agriculture while enhancing soil and plant health.

Climate-Driven Agricultural Land Change: Adaptation and Sustainability

This PhD research will explore how agricultural land use is shifting in response to climate change. Using geospatial analysis, soil health assessment, and agronomic modeling, the project could identify trends in land-use adaptation, emerging crop suitability, and the role of microbial communities in resilient farming systems. This work will contribute to developing climate-smart agricultural strategies that support long-term food production sustainability.
