{"id":986,"date":"2020-04-21T11:16:54","date_gmt":"2020-04-20T23:16:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.otago.ac.nz\/zoom\/?page_id=986"},"modified":"2020-12-17T11:25:13","modified_gmt":"2020-12-16T22:25:13","slug":"virtual-backgrounds","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.otago.ac.nz\/zoom\/virtual-backgrounds\/","title":{"rendered":"Virtual Backgrounds"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Once you have <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.otago.ac.nz\/zoom\/?page_id=829\">signed into your Zoom account<\/a>, you will have access to <a href=\"https:\/\/support.zoom.us\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/210707503-Virtual-Background\">Zoom&#8217;s Virtual Background feature<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The virtual background feature allows you to display an image or video as your background during a Zoom Meeting.<\/p>\n<p>This feature works best with a green screen and uniform lighting, to allow Zoom to detect the difference between you and your background. However, if your computer is powerful enough you can use this feature without a green screen.
