Listen to the\u00a0<a href=\"\/\/www.radionz.co.nz\/national\/programmes\/ninetonoon\/audio\/2602000\/winner-of-a-tertiary-teaching-award,-on-teaching-in-the-dark\" target=\"_blank\">Radio NZ interview<\/a>\u00a0and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dunedintv.co.nz\/content\/traditional-teaching-methods-earns-award\" target=\"_blank\">Dunedin Television item<\/a> in which Karyn explains her teaching practice.<\/p>\n<p>Karyn has undertaken significant research to ensure that her teaching in the dark, and has just published on this \u2018A Return to the \u201cDark Ages\u201d\u2019 in the journal <a href=\"http:\/\/issuu.com\/hedc\/docs\/akoranga10?e=6196518\/6840271\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Akoranga <\/em>10 (2014)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Just this week Karyn also employed the same methods in a guest lecture for the 900 students of MAOR102: M\u0101ori Society, showing that this pedagogy can be applied to more than just performing arts.
