Kislak Fellow in American Studies at the John W. Kluge Centre at the Library of Congress, Washington, DC. From 2001-2013 she was visiting Associate Professor in the Centre for Australian, New Zealand and Pacific Studies at Georgetown University, Washington, DC. She is the author of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.washington.edu\/uwpress\/search\/books\/OBRPAC.html\"><em>The Pacific Muse: Exotic Femininity and the Colonial Pacific<\/em><\/a>\u00a0(Seattle, 2006).<\/p>\n<p>Professor O\u2019Brien will be presenting on material from a\u00a0current research project, a biography on the Samoan\u00a0<span class=\"Apple-style-span\">nationalist leader Ta\u2019isi O.F. Nelson.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Her seminar \u2018<strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000\">The Trials of Mr Nelson: Ta\u2019isi O. F.
