Setup Email Clients

If the idea of having your student email forwarded to your personal account doesn’t appeal to you, you can setup your StudentMail on your devices to have direct access while also keeping your emails separate.

Student Email accounts are simplest to install using Outlook on any device – we will therefore focus on using only this in these instructions.

See below for instructions of how to setup your StudentMail on a specific device.

  1. Firstly install the Office365 bundle (Click here for instructions on how to install Office365)
  2. Open Outlook
  3. Select Outlook > Preferences
  4. Click Accounts
  5. Add new Exchange Account
  6. Enter your student email address, student login and password (your password is the same as you would login to eVision, Blackboard, etc)
  7. Your StudentMail is now connected to your Mac desktop Outlook client
  1. Firstly install the Office365 bundle (Click here for instructions on how to install Office365)
  2. From the Outlook main screen press File
  3. Press Add Account
  4. Enter your full student email address and press Connect
  5. If prompted, enter your full student email address and password into the dialog box. Make sure to check the remember my credentials box
  6. Uncheck the setup Outlook on mobile checkbox and then press OK
  7. Your email should now be added to your Outlook!
  1. If you do not already have Outlook, download the Microsoft Outlook app from the Google Play Store here
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Press Add Account
  4. Select Add an Email Account
  5. Enter your full student email address and then press Continue
  6. Enter your full student email address and password and then press Sign In
  7. Your StudentMail account is now added to your phone!
  1. Open the Outlook app, or download it from the App Store here
  2. If you haven't used Outlook before on your phone, just tap Get Started, otherwise open the collapsed menu in the upper left corner
  3. Go to Settings
  4. Then Add Account
  5. Finally Add Email Account
  6. Enter your full student email address and press Add Account
  7. Enter only your student username and password (the same as you use to login to eVision, Blackboard, etc) and press Sign in
  8. After this, Outlook will sign you in and you're good to go!
