Search for files

View these instructions in a video.

The OURDrive site is designed to make searching for things as simple as possible.
Adding metadata means better search results for everyone. This is like adding keywords so someone can use them later to find something.

No matter where you search, you will only see what you have permission to view.

At the top of a library or list is a search box just for those files/items.

On the left edge of the screen, above the list of all the libraries, there may be a link to search for files within this site only.

At the top right of the window, there is a search box allowing you to search across all the OURDrive sites you have permission to access.

Use filters in the Search Centre on the left to fine-tune your results.

If you find the file you want, hover over the entry to see a preview, and get options to edit, follow, send a link to someone (with access permission) or open the library where it lives.

Where there are no results for a particular location, “Nothing here matches your search” will be displayed.

You can also use the Advanced Search link at the bottom of the results to further fine-tune results.
