Co-authoring

Co-authoring allows up to ten people to edit a document at the same time. It is available for Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and OneNote.

The exact availability depends on your version of Office:

Considerations

To enable co-authoring, the following aspects should be considered:

  • The file must not be checked out.
  • A maximum of 10 concurrent editors per document is recommended.
  • Older file formats are not supported (e.g. .doc, .xls and .ppt).
  • Internet Explorer works best on a PC.

Save the document regularly

To store your changes and view updates other editors have made, save the document.
