Otago \u00a0University has made a series of video clips\u00a0 of\u00a0researchers talking about\u00a0 using statistics in their research. The clips include\u00a0 examples from zoology, nutrition, psychology, chemistry, physiology within the university and DoC and AgResearch Ruakua outside the University.<\/p>\n

But wait there\u2019s more\u2026.!!!!!<\/em><\/p>\n

The videos come with matching data sets\u00a0 and a powerful, free-to-use menu-driven schools version of the statistical package GenStat .<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

A FREE school version of this software has been developed for New Zealand Schools. You can even \u00a0access the software freely at home once your \u00a0school is registered.<\/p>\n

The video clips and data sets come with lessons using `GenStat<\/strong><\/em> <\/strong><\/em>Schools\u2019 and all of the resources are available from the department’s website www.maths.otago.ac.nz\/videos\/statistics<\/a><\/p>\n

A school can apply for a FREE GenStat <\/em><\/strong>Schools Licence at www.vsni.co.uk\/software\/genstat-teaching<\/a><\/p>\n
