Arguably it has never been true. They argue that such innovations as speech, written language, printing, engines, modern medicine and computers have had a profound impact not just on how people live their lives, but on who and what they are.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>What might happen in the next \u00a020, 50, 100 years\u00a0?<\/p>\n<p>A new book entitled \u00a0the <a title=\"A Manifesto for playing God: Proactionary Imperative Book review\" href=\"http:\/\/www.newscientist.com\/article\/mg22329850.900-a-manifesto-for-playing-god-with-human-evolution.html#.VBEJL8KSzTr\" target=\"_blank\"><em>The Proactionary Imperative<\/em><\/a> presents a \u00a0the cultural, intellectual and ethical `justification&#8217; for the emerging \u00a0transhumanist movement and in so doing paints an ethically \u00a0challenging and scary scenario for\u00a0 the future of the human race?<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Fancy living forever, or uploading your mind to the net?\u00a0<\/em>The Proactionary Imperative<em>\u00a0<\/em><em>embraces transhumanist dreams, but reminds why we need medical ethics&#8221;.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ever heard of \u00a0&#8216;Transhumanism&#8216;?
