{"id":1338,"date":"2012-05-15T15:39:49","date_gmt":"2012-05-15T03:39:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.otago.ac.nz\/ouassa\/?p=1338"},"modified":"2012-05-15T15:39:49","modified_gmt":"2012-05-15T03:39:49","slug":"knowledge-forum-synthesis-of-project-a-discussion-views","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.otago.ac.nz\/ouassa\/knowledge-forum-synthesis-of-project-a-discussion-views\/","title":{"rendered":"Knowledge Forum: Synthesis of Project A  Discussion Views"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0Hi\u00a0 All<br \/>\nYour task is a simple one:<br \/>\nYou are <strong>each<\/strong> to make to a <strong>New Note<\/strong> that pulls together the knowledge you have gained from the knowledge building discussion on your <strong>Project A<\/strong> <strong>View<\/strong> (Maths, Physics, Marine Science or Zoology).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>We have added a new set of scaffolds entitled <strong>\u2018My Synthesis\u2019<\/strong> to help you do this.<\/p>\n<p>Use these scaffolds to help you synthesise <strong>what you have learned<\/strong> from your Project A discussion and to <strong>highlight the ideas, posts and links that helped your knowledge building most.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Post your synthesis as a <strong>New Note<\/strong> titled <strong>`My Synthesis\u2019 <\/strong>within your Project view.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This task should take you no more than 30 minutes.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Date Due:\u00a0 Fri 25<sup>th<\/sup> of May<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We look forward to reading your \u2018My Synthesis\u2019 post.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t forget if you have ANY <strong>technical problems<\/strong> using Knowledge Forum let us know right away.\u00a0 For those of you who haven\u2019t been in for a while, have forgotten how to use the software or have lost the starter guide given you at the January camp, we are happy to\u00a0 email you another copy and\/or run a short refresher on-line using <strong>OtagoConnect<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Soon we will be posting the <strong>Project B views<\/strong> (Chemistry, Biochemistry\/Genetics, Computer Science and Geography) to create an on-line discussion and to synthesize ideas generated between now and the July camp.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>May we take this opportunity to remind you that we <strong>expect<\/strong> you to access Knowledge Forum <strong>at least once a week to read the posts of others and to make a new note<\/strong>.
