Students may have to contribute a small percentage<br \/>\ntoward this trip. If you are involved in an astronomy club then this would be an advantage. Support will be provided by the Talented School Students Travel Award to successful students for most of the international travel costs, registration and accommodation. However students will need to pay a small percentage of their costs.\u00a0 Students must be studying physics and one other science subject to be eligible to attend. This forum will bring together some 80 students from Australia and New Zealand who must be studying Biology and at least one other science subject. <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif;font-size: x-small\">You will participate in a hands-on experience with the<br \/>\nlatest biomedical equipment and techniques and hear from some of Australia\u2019s leading researchers. <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif;font-size: x-small\">Support for most of the travel and registration costs will be provided by the Talented School Students Travel Award however the<br \/>\nstudent will need to fund a small percentage.\u00a0 <strong>Students from New Zealand must<br \/>\napply and send their application to the Royal Society of New Zealand and not<br \/>\nthrough Biofutures, Australia. (See below on how to apply)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Palatino;font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif;font-size: x-small\"><strong>YOUTH ANZAAS<br \/>\n(Australia New Zealand Association for the Advancement of Science) 29 June \u2013<br \/>\nfinishing morning of Friday 7 July, Dunedin <\/strong><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Palatino;font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif;font-size: x-small\"><strong>Yr12 and Yr13 students <\/strong><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Palatino;font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif;font-size: x-small\">This is a week-long residential event based in Dunedin that will coincide with the International Science Festival. 25 Australian secondary school students will attend together with up to 20 New Zealand secondary school students.\u00a0 The week will involve visits to science organizations and social activities as well as being involved in the International Science Festival.\u00a0 Students will be heavily subsidized by the Freemasons Travel Award however each student will need to pay $300.00 to attend. <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Palatino;font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri,sans-serif;font-size: x-small\">Students must be studying at least two science subjects to be eligible to attend.
