{"id":72,"date":"2012-02-11T22:11:43","date_gmt":"2012-02-11T22:11:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.otago.ac.nz\/openotago\/?p=72"},"modified":"2012-02-12T05:12:03","modified_gmt":"2012-02-12T05:12:03","slug":"may-june-mooc-for-educational-developers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.otago.ac.nz\/openotago\/may-june-mooc-for-educational-developers\/","title":{"rendered":"May-June MOOC for Educational Developers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A short (4-6 weeks) <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mooc\" target=\"_blank\">MOOC<\/a> (Massive Open Online Course) will be offered for Educational Developers\u00a0at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.brookes.ac.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Oxford Brookes University<\/a> and beyond. <a href=\"http:\/\/jennymackness.wordpress.com\/2012\/02\/11\/a-new-mooc-for-mayjune-first-steps-into-teaching-in-fehe\/\" target=\"_blank\">Jenny Mackness<\/a> reports that\u00a0she will be working with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chc.brookes.ac.uk\/marion-waite\" target=\"_blank\">Marion Waite<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.brookes.ac.uk\/services\/ocsld\/consultants\/ocsld\/george_roberts.html\" target=\"_blank\">George Roberts<\/a>, and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.brookes.ac.uk\/services\/ocsld\/\" target=\"_blank\">The\u00a0Oxford Centre for Staff and Learning Development (OCSLD)<\/a> on this\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.jisc.ac.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">JISC<\/a>-funded project.\u00a0As Jenny explains,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The aim of this MOOC is to enable, facilitate and support open academic practice within Oxford Brookes University itself and across the academic community worldwide.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>A <a href=\"http:\/\/www.connectivism.ca\/?p=336\" target=\"_blank\">MOOC<\/a> that is delivered to a targeted group is also available to anyone else who chooses to take part (and, hopefully, contribute).
