Kia ora koutou<\/p>\n

The Otago Medical School Research Society is proud to announce the\u00a0Call for Abstracts for the PhD Speaker Awards<\/b>\u00a0at the 279th Scientific Meeting of the Society.<\/p>\n

This will occur between 5.00 – 7.30 pm on Wednesday,\u00a012th August 2026<\/b>, in the Barnett Lecture. An option to attend and present via Zoom will also be offered.<\/div>\n
A panel of judges will award $500 to the best speaker, and the runner-up will be awarded $250, kindly supported by Otago Medical Research Foundation and Leica Biosystems.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

To be eligible for the award, you must:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Have not previously won this Award<\/li>\n
  2. Have either,\n
      \n
    1. not graduated with your PhD, or<\/li>\n
    2. have graduated with your PhD in 2026<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
        \n
      1. Report the results of health-related research that you have made a major contribution to as part of your PhD, and which was performed under the auspices of the University of Otago, Dunedin.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
