Kia ora koutou,<\/p>\n

The Otago Medical School Research Society is proud to announce the\u202fCall for Abstracts for the PhD Award<\/b>\u202fat the 275th Scientific Meeting of the Society.<\/p>\n

This will occur between 5.00 \u2013 7.30 pm on Wednesday 13th August 2025 (venue to be advised). An option for attending and presenting via Zoom will also be offered.<\/p>\n

A panel of judges will award $500 to the best speaker, and the runner-up will be awarded $250, with prize money kindly supported by Otago Medical Research Foundation (OMRF) and Leica Biosystems.<\/p>\n

To be eligible for the award you must:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. have not previously won this Award<\/li>\n
  2. either,\n
      \n
    1. have not graduated with your PhD, or<\/li>\n
    2. have graduated with your PhD in the calendar year of the meeting<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
    3. report the results of health-related research that you have made a major contribution to as part of your PhD, and which was performed under the auspices of the University of Otago, Dunedin.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
