The 270th<\/sup> Scientific Meeting<\/strong> of OMSRS which is the 2024 Research Staff<\/strong> Awards<\/strong> was held on the 19th<\/sup> June at Colquhoun Lecture theatre between 5-6.30 pm. This year four staff shortlisted by Editorial Panel led by Dr Adam Middleton presented.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The meeting was convened by Professor Shyamal Das, President of OMSRS, and judges for presentation were Dr Adam Middleton, Dr Benedict Seo, Associate Professor Aniruddha Chatterjee and Dr Natasha Flack.<\/p>\n

The winner was Jerry Hsu from the Department of Psychological medicine (Abstract: CW Hsu<\/u>, CC Lin, Gray A, Ross J, Akuhata-Huntington Z. <\/strong>Investigating an \u2018overdose\u2019 of digital mental health intervention targeting depression using\u00a0 cognitive bias modification). The winner received a certificate and $500 prize money.<\/p>\n

The runner up was Teodora Georgescu from the Department of Anatomy (Absttract: T Georgescu<\/u>, I Sawyer, AM Stewart1 M Gillett, SR Ladyman, DR Grattan. <\/strong>Suppression of both bacterial and viral fevers in late pregnancy in mice.).The runner up received a certificate and $250 prize money.<\/p>\n

These awards are kindly sponsored by the Otago Postgraduate Medical Society (OPMS). The CEO of OPMS, Associate Professor Aniruddha Chatterjee was present to hand over the Awards.<\/p>\n
