An option for attending and presenting via Zoom will also be offered.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span data-ogsc=\"rgb(33, 33, 33)\">A panel of judges will award $500 to the best speaker and the runner-up will be awarded $250. The scientific meeting and prizes are kindly sponsored by Mediray.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span data-ogsc=\"black\" data-ogsb=\"rgb(252, 252, 252)\">To be eligible for the Award, you must:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\" data-ogsb=\"rgb(252, 252, 252)\"><span data-ogsc=\"black\">have not previously won this Award<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\" data-ogsb=\"rgb(252, 252, 252)\"><span data-ogsc=\"black\">be working towards a Honours or Masters qualification (including BSc(Hons), BMedSc(Hons), PGDipSci, MSc or other Masters degree in a health-related discipline<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\" data-ogsb=\"rgb(252, 252, 252)\"><span data-ogsc=\"black\">either,<\/span>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\" data-ogsb=\"rgb(252, 252, 252)\"><span data-ogsc=\"black\">have not graduated with the degree related to the work you are presenting, or<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\" data-ogsb=\"rgb(252, 252, 252)\"><span data-ogsc=\"black\">have graduated with the degree related to the work you are presenting in the calendar year of the meeting<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\" data-ogsb=\"rgb(252, 252, 252)\"><span data-ogsc=\"black\">report the results of health-related research that you have made a major contribution to as part of your Masters\/Hons project, and which was performed under the auspices of the University of Otago, Dunedin.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span data-ogsc=\"rgb(33, 33, 33)\">For details on how to enter and abstract preparation guidelines, please see our blog page\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.otago.ac.nz\/omsrs\/abstract-submission\/\" data-ogsc=\"\">https:\/\/blogs.otago.ac.nz\/omsrs\/abstract-submission\/<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span data-ogsc=\"black\">Abstract submission closes on\u00a0<strong>5pm Friday 29<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0September<\/strong><\/span><strong><span data-ogsc=\"black\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span data-ogsc=\"black\">N\u0101u te rourou, n\u0101ku te rourou, ka ora ai te iwi<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span data-ogsc=\"black\">(With your basket, and my basket, the people will be well)<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kia ora koutou\u00a0 The Otago Medical School Research Society is proud to announce the\u00a0Call for Abstracts for the 2023 MSc \/ Hons Student Award\u00a0at the 268th Scientific Meeting of the Society.
