Science Writing Competition 2022<\/strong><\/p>\n

The science writing competition was expanded this year by offering a writing workshop by Prof Lloyd Spencer Davies<\/strong> (Department of Science Communication) in June. Any student undertaking health-related research at the University of Otago were invited to attend. Following the workshop, we received close to 20 submissions.<\/p>\n

The winners were announced in the Hunter Centre on the 5th<\/sup> October (while it started snowing outside!).<\/p>\n

Runner-up 1<\/strong>: Caitlin Berry-Kilgour<\/strong> (Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology), for: The Ocean\u2019s Medicinal Gift<\/em><\/p>\n

Runner up 2<\/strong>: Simon John-McHaffie<\/strong> (Department of Pathology),\u00a0 for: Taking a look at prostate cancer<\/em><\/p>\n
