The symposium discussed theoretical and experimental studies, as well as applications of coordination compounds into the modern world. Two Plenary talks which stood out were by S. A. McFlarland who discussed the use of a Ruthenium based compound in Rudivar, a patented drug for photodynamic cancer therapy(1), and D. G.
