Themes and Widgets

What are themes?

This is the overall design of your blog site – this will include fonts, colours and graphics.

What are widgets?

Widget is a fancy word for a set of tools you can install in the sidebar of your blog site. Widgets can be used to include:

• a list of your blog pages
• list of categories
• archives
• recent posts
• links
• text
• search box
• feeds
• tag cloud
• site administration log-in link

By default widgets display on all pages of your site, if you’d like to change this you need to activate the Display Widget plugin. This plugin then allows you to select which page or post your widget displays on. Once the plugin is activated you can make these changes from within each widget.
