{"id":10,"date":"2017-02-16T02:34:12","date_gmt":"2017-02-16T02:34:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gladnz.stage.bocki.com.au\/?page_id=5"},"modified":"2020-12-11T16:33:48","modified_gmt":"2020-12-11T03:33:48","slug":"home","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.otago.ac.nz\/gladnz\/","title":{"rendered":"Welcome to GLA:D New Zealand"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff6600\">What is GLA:D New Zealand?<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>GLA:D\u00ae, Good Life with osteoArthritis:&nbsp;Denmark, is an education and exercise program developed by researchers in Denmark for people with hip or knee osteoarthritis symptoms.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Research from the GLA:D\u00ae program in Denmark shows symptom progression reduces by 32%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Other outcomes include a less pain, reduced use of joint related pain killers, and less people on sick leave. GLA:D\u00ae participants also reported high levels of satisfaction with the program and increased levels of physical activity 12 months after starting the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>This program is unique in that the education and exercises provided can be applied to everyday activities.
