In some cases you need to add it as a style you can export.<\/p>\n<h3>Selecting the RIS output style in Endnote<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Open your Endnote library.<\/li>\n<li>Select the drop down menu near the top left of your library window and choose <em>Select another style&#8230; <\/em>(&#8216;1&#8217; in the picture below.)<\/li>\n<li>This brings up a long list of citation styles. Find <em>RefMan (RIS) Export <\/em>and click <em>Choose<\/em>. (See 2 &amp; 3 in the picture below.)<\/li>\n<li>Make sure RefMan is then selected in the drop down.<\/li>\n<li>Select the readings you want to export.<\/li>\n<li>Go to the File menu (top left) and select <em>Export&#8230;<\/em> to save the file. It will have the file extension .txt.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure you have chosen the\u00a0<em>RefMan (RIS) <\/em>option in the export drop-down menu for <em>Output style<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>Then <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.otago.ac.nz\/ereserve\/ereserve-for-teaching-staff\/add-readings-from-a-citation-manager\/\">upload as normal<\/a> in eReserve.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.otago.ac.nz\/ereserve\/files\/2016\/01\/export-to-RIS-from-Endnote.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-159 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.otago.ac.nz\/ereserve\/files\/2016\/01\/export-to-RIS-from-Endnote.png\" alt=\"export to RIS from Endnote\" width=\"994\" height=\"653\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.otago.ac.nz\/ereserve\/files\/2016\/01\/export-to-RIS-from-Endnote.png 994w, https:\/\/blogs.otago.ac.nz\/ereserve\/files\/2016\/01\/export-to-RIS-from-Endnote-300x197.png 300w, https:\/\/blogs.otago.ac.nz\/ereserve\/files\/2016\/01\/export-to-RIS-from-Endnote-457x300.png 457w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 994px) 100vw, 994px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Including publisher details for journals<\/h3>\n<p>The default Endnote\u00a0export does not include the publisher for journals, which is required for Endnote.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/figshare.com\/s\/b1fae72d44f56ef5c075\">This file<\/a> can be placed in your Endnote\/Styles folder, which we&#8217;ve modified to include publisher details.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Download <a href=\"https:\/\/figshare.com\/s\/b1fae72d44f56ef5c075\">the file<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Put it in the folder where Endnote stores Styles.
