Get a copy of EndNote
EndNote is now FREE for students, and you are entitled to free upgrades for the entire time you are at the University of Otago.
To get a copy, either go to the ITS Reception at the ITS Building over the River Leith or email: its.software@otago.ac.nz

Setup PDF Handling and FullText
When you open EndNote, there are a couple of preferences we recommend you set for optimal performance: PDF Handling and FullText. Find out all about these in the videos/PDF on the Preferences page.
Setup EndNote Web for online Back-ups
Setting up a free EndNote Web account is an excellent way to ensure your library is backed up to the cloud. Do not use any other cloud-based services for this. For more information on EndNote Web, watch the video on the Back-up Library page.
Health Sciences students – Setup journal title abbreviations
In addition to the preferences above, Health Sciences students and staff (especially those using PubMed), will want to set the journal title abbreviations for the bibliography. Find out about these in the video on the Citation Styles page.
