Preferences
Most of the views and settings in EndNote are completely customisable.
- EndNote preferences – general – uses EndNote X7, but works the same.
You may want to set the PDF handling to rename all incoming PDFs with the author’s name, etc. if it’s available. In addition, you can nominate a folder from which EndNote can automatically import PDFs.
When you import references, you do not get PDFs by default. However, you can set the Find FullText preferences to enable you to use the University of Otago Library’s ez-proxy connection to the academic databases.
