As part of our three-year interdisciplinary research project on “the Practical-speculative divide in early modern thought,” our blog explores the diverse interests that comprise our Early Modern Thought Research Theme: English, History and Art History, Medicine, Philosophy, Politics, and Theology.  Under the direction of Professor Peter Anstey and the Steering Committee of Professor Evelyn Tribble, Professor Andrew Bradstock, and Dr Takashi Shogimen, the Theme aims to maintain and nurture online dialogue, host an annual conference, publish the conference proceedings, develop and foster postgraduate research skills, and hold public lectures.
