Staff and students will not be able to log into Blackboard between 7pm and 8pm, this Friday, 29 July. Services requiring authentication using Blackboard e.g. los.otago.ac.nz (Learning object server) will also be unavailable during this time. Please log out before 7pm.
This outage is to apply updates to resolve recent database performance issues.

During the above timeframe Blackboard will be unavailable due to updates to the Blackboard System. These updates fix the problem which prevents staff from being able to move and copy content. This was originally scheduled for 11 March, but due to unforseen technical issues the upgrade did not go ahead. This update is now scheduled for 18 March.
This means that:
- Blackboard users will not be able to login at all.
- Users of LOS (Learning Objects) applications will not be able to log in during this outage.
- UniTube users will not be able to log in during this outage, however content will still be available.
