{"id":747,"date":"2014-11-28T17:42:36","date_gmt":"2014-11-28T04:42:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.otago.ac.nz\/crocc\/?p=747"},"modified":"2015-02-11T20:52:36","modified_gmt":"2015-02-11T07:52:36","slug":"kalimpong-reunion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.otago.ac.nz\/crocc\/kalimpong-reunion\/","title":{"rendered":"Kalimpong Reunion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A reunion was held today (28\/11\/14) at St Margarets College of descendants of migrants from the St Andrews Colonial Homes. \u00a0The Homes, now known as the Dr Graham Homes, made up\u00a0a boarding school in Kalimpong (West Bengal, India) mainly for children of indigenous women and European tea planters. \u00a0Set up by Reverent Dr. John Anderson Graham in 1900, this Christian school educated the\u00a0&#8220;Anglo-Indian&#8221; children, some of whom as teenagers were then sent to New Zealand between 1908 and 1938.
