{"id":1492,"date":"2016-12-05T12:15:05","date_gmt":"2016-12-04T23:15:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.otago.ac.nz\/crocc\/?p=1492"},"modified":"2016-12-05T16:59:56","modified_gmt":"2016-12-05T03:59:56","slug":"cfp-film-in-the-colony","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.otago.ac.nz\/crocc\/cfp-film-in-the-colony\/","title":{"rendered":"CFP: Film in the Colony"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On <strong>13 and 14 July 2017<\/strong>, the Centre for Research on Colonial Culture and Ng\u0101 Taonga Sound and Vision are hosting the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.otago.ac.nz\/crocc\/film-in-the-colony-symposium\/\">Film in the Colony Symposium<\/a> in Wellington.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Keynote Speakers:\u00a0<\/strong>Dame Professor Anne Salmond (University of Auckland), Dr Ian-Malcolm Rijsdijk (University of Cape Town)<\/p>\n<p>Organisers invite papers that investigate the cross-cultural processes of film production in the colonial context, and the ways in which indigenous and settler participants \u2013 performers, crew, or people from the localities where filming took place \u2013 took part in productions.
