SRB II builds on the momentum and opportunities enabled by the first Space, Race, Bodies conference in publicising and disseminating scholarship and activism on the intersections between geography, racism and racialisation.<\/p>\n<p>Presentations and panels are invited to address, but are not limited to, the following:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px\">\nsurveillance and imprisonment in settler colonial and imperial histories<br \/>\ndetention and surveillance of migrants and refugees<br \/>\nracial profiling and state violence towards ethnic and marginalised communities<br \/>\ngeographies of torture in the \u2018war on terror\u2019<br \/>\nthe geopolitics of homonormativity and pinkwashing<br \/>\nhate crimes and the role of imprisonment as a key modality through which rights protections are secured<br \/>\nintersectionality and social and political forms of exclusion<br \/>\ncommunity and activist challenges to state violence and detention<br \/>\nIndigenous sovereign protest movements<br \/>\ncorporeality, race and biometrics<br \/>\ncapitalism, race and incarceration<br \/>\nthe prison industrial complex<br \/>\ndigital forms of enclosure and surveillance<br \/>\nrace, racialisation and geography<br \/>\nclimate change, migration and asylum<br \/>\nprotest camps and state surveillance<\/p>\n<p>Please note that general submissions on the theme of space, race, and embodiment are welcome.
