Professor Liam McIlvanney

Professor Liam McIlvanney (Department of English) holds the Stuart Chair in Scottish Studies. In addition to being a noted fiction writer, he is an authority of Robert Burns and has published widely on the Scottish literary tradition and its global influence. Since coming to Otago he has been working on the connections between New Zealand writing and some key Scottish literary antecedents.
