We’re happy to celebrate an academic contribution from one of our PhD students, Denzel Chung, and Bioethics staff member Professor Jing-Bao Nie! Their recent article Katherine Hall and Chrystal Jaye sheds light on the importance of cultural insights in mental health care for diverse communities in Aotearoa New Zealand. Their research not only highlights the significance of familism for ethnic groups but also proposes a thoughtful and inclusive approach that respects both individual autonomy and the cultural value of family involvement.
