Trina co-ordinates the activities of Communities Living Injury Free. Her grassroots, youth-focused work experience stems from working with rurally placed young people in Wairoa and Heretaunga.\u00a0 She has worked extensively with Maori young people, and continues to maintain strong links within the sector. Her entry into community-based injury prevention was driven by a desire to improve the well-being of Maori and Pasifika whanau.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Dorothy Begg<\/strong>,<\/em> an injury epidemiologist, co-ordinates  IPRU\u2019s transport safety research. Her undergraduate training was in  Psychology and postgraduate training in Epidemiology. Her principal  research interest is young drivers, and in particular the graduated  driver licensing system and its impact on driver behaviour. Recent HRC  funded research focuses on young newly licenced drivers and the GDL  system, and motorcycling injury research.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Rebecca Brookland<\/em><\/strong> is a Research Fellow with IPRU. Her  research focuses on parental influence on the driving experiences of  young drivers. She is also Project Manager for the New Zealand Drivers  Study, a large follow-up study of nearly 4000 newly licenced drivers.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.brocku.ca\/social-sciences\/undergraduate-programs\/tourism-environment\/tren-faculty-and-staff\/david-t-brown\" target=\"_blank\"><em>David T. Brown<\/em><\/a><\/strong> is an Associate Professor with the Department of Tourism and Environment, Brock University, St. Catharines, Ontario and International Program Coordinator, Tourism and Environment Lecturer, Dept. of Tourism, University of Otago, Dunedin, New Zealand. He works towards sustainability by applying sound theoretical principles to real-world situations.<\/p>\n<p>DCC Transportation Planning and Operations Staff<em> (<strong>Charlotte Flaherty<\/strong> and others)<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.geography.otago.ac.nz\/people\/academic\/claire_freeman\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Claire Freeman <\/em><\/a><\/strong>is an Associate Professor and Director of the <a href=\"http:\/\/planning.otago.ac.nz\/\" target=\"_blank\">Master of Planning<\/a> programme in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.geography.otago.ac.nz\/home\/\" target=\"_blank\">Department of Geography<\/a> at the University of Otago. She is on Editorial Board of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tandf.co.uk\/journals\/offers\/cchg\/index.asp\" target=\"_blank\">Children&#8217;s Geographies Journal <\/a>and\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eianz.org\/publications\/cid\/1\/parent\/0\/pid\/1\/t\/publications\/title\/australasian-journal-of-environmental-management\" target=\"_blank\">Australasian Journal of Environmental Management<\/a>. Her research interests include planning for the natural environment; biodiversity and conservation planning, open space planning, planning with children; children and young people&#8217;s participation in planning and the environment and environmental education and Sustainable settlements; focusing on community planning and planning for the natural urban environment.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Michael Keall<\/em> <\/strong>is an Injury Epidemiologist and a senior   research fellow in the Housing and Health Research Programme, University   of Otago, Wellington. In 2010, he was employed as a biostatistician  for  an international collaboration of road safety agencies in Europe,   Australia and New Zealand and is an expert in travel survey research. He   is on the editorial boards of the international journals Accident   Analysis and Prevention and BMC Public Health.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Jinty MacTavish <\/em><\/strong>is a DCC Councillor and former Regional  Coordinator for the Enviroschools programme. She has a Masters in  Science Communication and brings knowledge and extensive experience with  youth, school systems and local community leadership.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Rob McGee<\/em><\/strong> is<em> <\/em>Professor and Co-Principal Investigator of  the Cancer Society Social and Behavioural Research Unit at the Dunedin  School of Medicine. His research interests broadly span the health and  wellbeing of adolescents and young adults, and the evaluation of health  promotion efforts to achieve improved health in these populations.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Rose Richards <\/em><\/strong>is the Deputy Director of the Cancer  Society Social and Behavioural Research Unit at the Dunedin School of  Medicine. Her research interests include adolescent physical activity,  promotion of active transport and links between active transport and  health.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Anil Thapliyal<\/em><\/strong> is an Hon Senior Lecturer, Department of General Practice and Primary Health Care                        at                   <a href=\"http:\/\/nz.linkedin.com\/company\/the-university-of-auckland?trk=ppro_cprof\">The University of Auckland <\/a>and Chief Executive Officer                        at                   <a href=\"http:\/\/nz.linkedin.com\/company\/healthtrx-limited?trk=ppro_cprof\">HealthTRX Limited <\/a>and International Advisor                        at                   <a href=\"http:\/\/nz.linkedin.com\/company\/the-centre-for-applied-research-and-evaluation-international-foundation-careif?trk=ppro_cprof\">The Centre for Applied Research and Evaluation-International Foundation. <\/a>He is a father and pioneer in the area of E-Therapy, E-screening, and E-Learning.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Ben Wooliscroft <\/em><\/strong>is a<em> <\/em>Senior Lecturer in the  Department of Marketing. Ben has taught in marketing theory, consumer  behaviour, history of business and marketing research.
